Fall in Saugerties and Visits to the Catskills Animal Sanctuary

Animal Sanctuaries are very important for the animals, for education and the environment. It is crucial to support Animal sanctuary in any way we can. I am lucky to have a few amazing Animal Sanctuaries nearby; I became a huge fan of the Catskills Animal Sanctuary in 2015. I am always impressed how much they teach about animal rescue, animal care, but mostly who teach me the most when I visit,  are the animals at the sanctuary who are lovely! The Animals at this Catskills Animal Sanctuary are ambassadors for all animals and teach us that they have the need for a family, friendship and want to live just like all of us. It is unthinkable that humanity got into a level of greedy where most can no longer see what is an animal, and how much evil is the violence committed towards them in order to have them in your plates.

I like to believe we are better than that and we can one day wake up and understand that animals are not food and that we have all the nutrients needed for a healthy life from grains, fruits, seeds, and vegetables. It is a no-brainer being a vegan, we get healthier with tasty vegan meals, we do not contribute to horrific animal cruelty and not contribute to massive defloration for animal agriculture that leads to serious environmental issues. Why not have fewer chances of cancers, diabetics and heart diseases, eating well without contributing to animals suffering? It is very simple and there is nothing stopping us from making such a positive decision which is to go vegan.

It is lovely to have an animal sanctuary nearby like the Catskills Animal Sanctuary, and  to be able to make visits with my dogs Lilly and Sam. who were not purchased, Lilly 12 years old and was a surrender, Sam was adopted by Petfinder and the Havanese Rescue in November 2016, and he is 2 years of old. There are many dogs available for adoption in animal Shelters, rescues, surrenders and foster homes. Lilly and Sam love a variety of vegan food for dogs. These days there are amazing reliable Vegan food brands for dogs and many are thriving on it.

There is no difference between my dogs, cat and the farm animals. They are just as lovely and friendly. We are the same.

Photo of Zeek by me. Zeek is another lovely sheep rescued by the Catskills Animal sanctuary; Zeek was approaching me while the tour Guide Leslie was giving a tour and I couldn't help in not to notice his sweetness and desire to be my friend.

This is Daisy, a lovely Donkey, rescued by the Catskills Animal sanctuary recently; What a sweetheart she is!

Photo of me and Zeek was taken by the animal tour guide Leslie : I couldn't resist  in not to register this friendy sweetie pie, who was following me during the tour

Charles right on front  is another of the Catskills Animal Sanctuary sweethearts; He had a hard time early this year by losing his mom, but now he is adjusting to new friend and approaching humans more often

It is easy to see my dogs and cat on pigs , cows , chickens , goats and so on, they are all the same .I got to know a few of the animals at the Catskills Animal Sanctuary well, like Tucker the Cow, Sister Mary the pig, Violet the goat and others and they have as much personality as my dogs  and cat do, they can be just as friendly . As a dog and cat lover , it would be impossible for me to  look in the mirrow knowing that I am contributting to the pain of animals that feels the same way as the ones I have at home.  It is a win win, I am extremely healthy for my age  and live extremely well as a Vegan .
