Here is how my husband , dogs and I managed to eat healthy vegan during winter way from home
My own private vegan winter with my husband and pups went quite well, it all started when we started packing our own vegan items for snacks; such as gallons of almond milk, coconut powder Bananas, apples, oats, coconut sugar, and walnuts. While we were in Boston, we were lucky enough to find a great vegan spot next to the hotel named " Eat by Chloe ". For our pups, we packed their favorite vegan dog food and vegan snacks, such as the peanut butter cookies by V-dog, homemade Pumpkin cookies, sweet potatoes formula by natural balance and mini bites kibble by V-dog.
In Boston we were literally ordering food from "Eat by Chloe every day, it was unusually cold, and that was the best option for being close and have a large variety of amazing vegan meals, it turned out to be amazing and the heavy snow didn't become a problem. They had all types of vegan burgers; chillis, veggies Prestos, tacos and so on, in other words, it was a vegan winter heaven in Boston.
We were also able to find vegan options inside the Hotel restaurant for breakfast and brunch. We had our own no dairy milk with and coconut sugar so we could order the cereals we knew were vegan, a large variety of fruits, wheat toasts with jelly and coffee. In the meanwhile, our dogs Lilly and Sam were eating peanut butter cookies from V-dog, Pumpkin cookies the sweet potato vegan formula by natural balance. Boston was amazingly very vegan-friendly to us, Even when I had to order from our room, they were more than happy to customize our food to vegan, by fulfilling our request such as no butter, no dairy, no cheese, and so on.
While in Vermont; we were not that lucky, the restaurants inside the report was not vegan-friendly at all. The options were limited and the snow storm was heavy, and we could not drive so far to find vegan options. However; I decided kindly to talk to the Chef, and he managed to make baked potatoes, wheat pasta with veggies, pear salads, and zucchini soups and it turned out to be amazing and filling. I figured that once we learn how to communicate nicely with the waitress and the chef, we can have a happy vegan ending. The other options we had when it was not snowing heavily was going to town and order from this no vegan spot pub but with amazing vegan options such as; extremely tasty black beans burgers with french sweet potatoes, mixed with veggies. Our option for breakfast was quite tasty, baked potatoes with amazing veggie wraps and fruits.
There weren't many vegan restaurants in Stowe Vermont- However, is just a matter to get the word out there. My recommendation to those who travel and want to find Vegan spots is to look for vegan options before your arrival; also you can try to look at the places nearby and try to make it vegan-friendly by customizing your order and always remembering to be extremely nice since they are changing the menu.
. Food shopping is always a great option, especially when we have our own food container and are able to take to the hotel room or to the cabin. The truth is, there is vegan food everywhere, it is just a matter to ask kindly to the people to do not use dairy or flash of animals.

From our cabin in VT, specially made vegan dishes after talking with the chef and helped him to "Veganize " our meals, it turned out to be amazing. |
