Losing my furry daughter and best friend Lilly Foschino after 19 years living with each other like glue.

On July 29th, early morning of 2024, our 20-year-old daughter and angel #Lillyfoschino, passed away peacefully in my arms. She became weaker overnight and became unable to walk within hours on the last Sunday evening; she rejected food for the first time in her life. She ate exceptionally well through her youth, mature, and elderly phase, but things changed within hours last Sunday. As Lilly got weaker, Her dad and I laid her down in the bed and held her with her favorite blankets throughout the entire night, kissing and holding her. Lilly was breathing and making little barks and noises. At one point, I realized that she needed to know that it was ok if she wanted to leave us and that we would be ok. As I started praying and telling Lilly it was ok, the power went out of nowhere, and when the power came back, I noticed Lilly was departing her physical body. I was born in Brazil and raised by artists in the field of Photography, visual arts, and acting. I grew up surrounded by Anti-USA sentiments from actors and writers who dealt with censorship and torture during the Brazilian dictatorship from 1964-1885.
